13th Street Laundromat
A fresh brand kit that pairs clean, modern visuals with a retro-inspired logo to create a nostalgic yet elevated identity.
The brief
As a co-owner, I set out to reposition my laundromat with a complete brand refresh that felt modern, inviting, and differentiated in a typically overlooked category. The existing identity was virtually nonexistent and didn't reflect the upgraded, high-quality experience we were building in-store. The goal was to create a brand that felt both elevated and approachable, while resonating with a broad, local audience.
Approach
I developed a fresh brand kit that pairs clean, modern visuals with a retro-inspired logo and supporting elements to create a nostalgic yet elevated identity. The direction balanced warmth, fun, and familiarity with clarity and simplicity, ensuring the brand felt both trustworthy and enjoyable. Every element was designed to translate seamlessly across digital, in-store signage, and marketing touchpoints.
Outcome
The result is a cohesive, standout brand that transformed both perception and performance. Through intentional in-store signage encouraging reviews, we increased our Google rating from 3.4 to 4.6, while a full suite of branded marketing materials paired with our 2024 renovation helped drive over a 10x increase in monthly revenue. The business now shows up consistently across every touchpoint, including in the first placement for relevant Google searches.
